BuildFloorPlan helps users generate floor plan ideas, planning visuals, and related outputs from prompts, uploaded images, and other project inputs. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account and profile data

When you create an account, we may collect:

• Email address
• Name and avatar if provided by your sign-in provider
• Account and authentication metadata

2.2 Project inputs and generated content

To provide the product, we may collect and store:

• Text prompts and structured planning inputs
• Uploaded floor plans, sketches, images, or PDFs
• Generated outputs, previews, and usage history

2.3 Billing and transaction data

Payments are handled by third-party providers. We do not store full card details, but we may receive billing status, transaction references, subscription state, and related payment metadata.

2.4 Technical and usage data

We may automatically collect:

• Browser, device, and session information
• IP address and approximate location derived from it
• Pages visited, features used, and event timestamps
• Error logs, diagnostics, and performance data

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve BuildFloorPlan
• Generate floor plans and related output for you
• Operate billing, subscriptions, and support workflows
• Detect abuse, fraud, or security issues
• Analyze usage so we can improve product quality
• Communicate important service or policy updates
• Comply with legal obligations

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share data with:

• Infrastructure and data providers such as Supabase and Cloudflare
• Payment providers and billing processors
• AI processing providers that generate or edit floor plan outputs based on your prompts and uploads
• Service providers that help with authentication, security, storage, or support
• Authorities or other parties when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or platform integrity

Projects and uploads are private to your account by default. However, if you create a share link for a specific run, anyone with that link may be able to access the shared output while the share link remains active.

5. Data Retention

We retain account data, billing records, and project history for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, meet legal requirements, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse.

Our current retention approach is:

• Free accounts keep generated project history for up to 30 days.
• Active paid subscriptions keep project history while the subscription remains active.
• After a paid subscription ends, project history may fall back to the free retention window and older items may be removed.
• Billing, fraud-prevention, dispute, and compliance records may be retained longer where legally required or operationally necessary.
• Low-risk operational logs and webhook records may be deleted on shorter rolling schedules.

Uploaded source files and generated outputs may be processed by third-party AI providers and infrastructure services acting on our behalf. If you want us to delete account data or project content associated with your account, email support@buildfloorplan.com.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember settings, understand site usage, and improve the product. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect how the service works.

We may also use analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand site usage, improve the product, and diagnose issues. Where required by law, we intend to ask for consent before loading non-essential analytics cookies.

7. Your Choices

Depending on your location, you may be able to:

• Access or update your account information
• Request deletion of your account and associated content
• Request a copy of your data where applicable
• Opt out of non-essential communications

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

BuildFloorPlan is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
